Saw this on Reddit.com. Take a guess. Hint: this is from an electron microscope.
Richard Warner is a familiar face and voice to Georgians. For nearly 30 years, he has covered business on television including a weekly series, "Georgia's Business" on Georgia Public Broadcasting. He has also been a nationally syndicated radio columnist. Richard serves on the Board of Trust at his alma mater, the Henry W. Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia, the Georgia Film, Music and Video Commission, and the Grady Hospital Board of Visitors. An entrepreneur, he serves as CEO of the Atlanta-based web design company, What's Up Interactive.

Hard to believe it’s true, but if my digging around the Internet is correct, this is a snow crystal? Wish we had more snow here in metro-Atlanta. The perfect symmetry of flakes is something amazing to view. See http://www.pandasthumb.org/archives/2007/01/mystery-in-the.html for an interesting article I stumbled across this morning.
